The compassionate housing that the PPBF offer to families having treatment at Southampton General Hospital or the Princess Anne Hospital is truly a god send to us. To begin to show our gratitude we wanted to make a start raising money for this wonderful charity, so Tom offered to shave his head as a fundraiser. We thought it would be fun to offer a few different options and ask people to make a donation to vote for their preferred hairstyle. We came up with the mohawk and mullet, and Romy was really keen on the ‘moustache’ so persuaded Daddy to let this be the third option. Despite secretly hoping for the mullet to win Tom was relieved to escape ‘the moustache’ and discover that the mohawk was the winning hairstyle. Jack Rabbit barbers in Southampton kindly did the cut free of charge and donated to the fundraiser too. They even decided on the day to dye it pink for the PPBF colours and one of Romy’s favourite colours too! As it was a peachy pink and a temporary hair dye, as soon as it started washing out Romy was excited to choose some more colours to dye it, starting with an even brighter pink. She also made a design for us to copy with blue and pink stripes. Tom’s fundraiser raised £2171.33.
