I requested physio to come and give us some exercises for Romy as she has been bed ridden for so long that she is weak and shaky now. When the physiotherapist came to do an initial assessment and found out Romy likes Frozen and used to be a dancer she put some Frozen music on and did some bends and stretches to the music. We have since received about three bedside sessions with a different physiotherapist who also made most of the short session dance based. Before her diagnosis Romy attended ballet, tap and modern and Musical Theatre at our beloved dance school, Musicbox. She was moved to a class with Reception children when she was a pre-schooler and she performed in her first show at Beau Sejour whilst she was still a pre-schooler. Seeing her join in some ballet moves and tap dance steps with the physiotherapist was emotional and a reminder of her wonderful childhood before diagnosis.
