For Romy’s second immunotherapy infusion she was attached to a balloon pump instead of a syringe driver, meaning she could be mobile. Romy enjoyed showing the nurses some of the magic tricks she has been learning from her magic trick advent calendar. After staying in hospital for the first 5 days for monitoring, we were able to come to the flat for the second 5 days. Romy remains attached to this ‘ball’ 24 hours a day for the whole 10 day period- (with the ball lasting 5 days it gets switched over half way through). We weigh the balloon pump every day to make sure it is being infused at roughly the correct rate.
